OPERATIONAL ENHANCEMENT TEAM
SCP’s Operational Enhancement Team consists of experienced CEOs and their support teams (COOs, CFOs, etc.). The firm utilizes the expertise of the team members to optimize the performance of portfolio investments by either having them run the companies directly as CEO, or by overseeing them as a “hands-on” Chairman of the Board of Directors. Each of SCP’s Operational Enhancement Team Operating Partners is an accomplished industry veteran with a proven history of success.

JAMES WIGGINTON Jim Wigginton joined SCP in 2003 as partner and chief operations officer and currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Inland Industrial Service Group, LLC and is a board member of Inland Pipe Rehabilitation, LLC. He also worked on operational improvement projects at eight of SCP’s past or present portfolio companies.
Over a career spanning 38 years, Jim has assisted more than 100 under-performing companies and companies in turnaround situations in a wide variety of industries. He served for seven years as the CEO of The Ronin Group, a consulting firm focused on turnaround situations. Before that, Jim acquired, improved and sold a dozen operating companies in the automotive, packaging, industrial service and technology industries. He also spent a decade with Omnicare, Inc. (a $2.5 billion NYSE healthcare company) in various positions, culminating as Chief Operating Officer and Director of the company.
Jim earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and a Masters of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing from Eastern Michigan University. He has also completed the Executive Program at Stanford Graduate School of Business and attended The Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management PhD program.
Jim has been actively involved with the U.S. Olympic program since 1972, representing the United States National TaeKwonDo Team in various capacities, including Head of Team, until 1998. He continues to be active in TaeKwonDo and was recently promoted to 5th Dan. In addition, Jim is only the 8th American civilian and 68th civilian worldwide to successfully complete a tandem 30,000 foot high altitude HALO parachute jump. He also set a world bench press record in 1999. He is also dedicated to community involvement, and was with the Red Cross in New York City immediately after the September 11th tragedy in 2001.
DENNIS MARCOTT Dennis Marcott joined SCP in 2006. He is CEO of Postle Aluminum Company, Chairman of the Board of Robert Rothschild Farm, and Chairman of the Board of SCP Building Products, LLC.
Throughout his career, Dennis has managed over 30 companies with sales from $5 million to $300 million. He has managed factories and sales offices in over 20 countries. Dennis has a strong track record in turning companies around and growing sales and profitability. He has worked with six private equity firms, primarily in manufacturing businesses. These firms include: Stonehenge, Mellon Ventures, Bank One, Calvert, Cedar Creek and R.L. Scott. Dennis started his career at Westinghouse Electric Corp. where he spent 18 years. During this time, he spent eight years living internationally, working at nuclear power plants in Brazil, Yugoslavia, South Korea and the Philippines.
Dennis graduated from Waynesburg College with a degree in Accounting and Business Administration.
DAVID SCHOPP David Schopp joined SCP in 2007 and is Chairman of the Board of Inland Pipe Rehabilitation, LLC, and Chairman of the Board of Smith Mountain Industries.
Previously, Dave was an operating partner with Stonebridge Partners, a middle-market private equity firm, where he completed the turnaround of USA Wireless Solutions and also had responsibility for Alpine, one of the firm’s most profitable investments. He was previously President and CEO of Orbis Corporation, a manufacturer of plastic reusable packaging and a leader in supply chain solutions for the automotive and beverage industry. Prior to joining Orbis, Dave was vice president and general manager of Promo Edge, a leading supplier of promotional printed labels and displays. Dave has 25 years of turnaround experience, building and then selling several of his own portfolio companies including US Sample Company, a manufacturer of in-store merchandising products; Bates Inc., a producer of in-pack premiums for the cereal and fast food markets; and Congress Packaging, a carton manufacturer. He was previously a consultant with Booz, Allen & Hamilton, specializing in strategy and marketing for Fortune 500 companies.
Dave is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Masters degree in Engineering.
KENNETH MILLARD Ken Millard joined SCP in 2007. He is Chairman of the Board of Dascom Systems Group.
Ken was chairman, chief executive officer, president and a director of Telular Corporation, a telecommunications company, until February 2005; after serving as president and chief executive officer since April 1996 and chairman since 2001. Prior to that, he was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Oncor Communications, a telecommunications company, from February 1992 to January 1996. During his career, Ken has also held various executive management positions at Ameritech Corporation and worked as an attorney for AT&T and Wisconsin Bell.
Ken has been a member of the Board of Directors of Digi International since October 1999 and is chairman and a director of FirstHand Technologies.
